Fruit Pickin'

We went to one of Dad's sister's house and picked apples and pears on Wednesday. The weather was wonderfully cool and greatly enjoyed! We picked about five bushels of apples and four bushel of pears in only an hour! The trees were loaded! Don't know how much we are going to be able to fit in the car to get home, but Nathan can ride on the roof, if necessary! =)

Math Bee

We had a math bee at chapel last week. It was fun, hard, and nerve-racking! Bethany got second place and Daniel got third. They both did very well. I got fourth place.... but there isn't a trophy for that! =) Enjoy the pictures..... sorry they are a week late! Some of them also got a little dark and blury!

School Days

Bethany gave an oral history report on Uruguay in chapel this past week. She actually enjoyed researching and making it so much that she got it done several weeks before it was due.

Family Fun

We had a picnic on the deck with hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, and watermelon. It was very nice out with a cool breeze. 

 

  

                                               

Softball

We had a game of softball with Dad as pitcher, Mom as catcher, and the rest of us as outfielders and batters by turn. We let Dad bat once, but we don't let him do it often cause we have to run too far to get it! =)  Mom didn't because she didn't want to show us up.....lol!  

Nate bought a car......the awesome, amazing, super-duper car.....

ok, so he didn't buy a Ferrari.....  just a Nissan Sentra (below), but it's still a nice car! Nate has been looking for a car for a couple weeks, and got this one just this afternoon. It gets good gas mileage and is a stick shift like he wanted. ( It also needs to be washed! )

A visit from Paul and Priscilla

Paul and Priscilla came to visit for a few days. We had a great time together and wish they could come more often. We baked some pies and other goodies.....

played video games (Priscilla looks a little bored).....

and played some of our instruments together.

They also brought their dog, Bear. But Mom and Dad said she does NOT count as a grandkid!
